Different principle about the origin and beginning of everything

If we look at all those stories that people invented to explain the origin of the world can see that they exhibit the spirit of speculative thinking human. In the creation stories of different cultures one can notice that the man imagines becoming gods therein contained in resemblance with him, only to be better or more powerful than himself. But what there is striking is, that man knows himself a beginning and agrees that the gods also must have a beginning.

What is striking about the former arising histories is that the gods had to conquer their ruling-ship, be it sometimes by wiles. And we see that there is still a primitive animism present where gods are still connected to nature concepts such as sky, sea, earth, storm, earthquake, etc.

The problem with those stories about the beginnings is that there is not really offered a real explanation for how and why the creation of the world, life on earth had come into existence and the purpose thereof, or the attitude we need to take in this world-system. The aspirations of people today with their scientific papers do not really give answers either.

The Creator Himself

Who looks against the background of all this and considers the Bible, discovers totally different principles. The God of the Bible is Himself Creator. Right at the start we get words which give an indication that he Himself is responsible for something coming into being from nothingness or from the void.

In the opening of the Book of books we do find that in the beginning this God created the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1: 1). We find written in the Bible that it was this Most High Divine Creator Deity Who edited this and accomplished it all. He has called it who called it from the generations of old that He Is the One God, the Elohim  Who is the first and to all futurity.

Isa 41:4 The Scriptures 1998+  (4)  “Who has performed and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? ‘I, יהוה {Jehovah}, am the first, and with the last I am He.’ ”

By the other creation myths there was always one or an other before and after, but now in the Bible we find a God Who has called on the families of the beginning that He is the Lord Most High, Who is the first and the last besides Him there being no Elohim God.

Isa 44:6 The Scriptures 1998+  (6)  “Thus said  יהוה {Jehovah}, Sovereign of Yisra’ĕl, and his Redeemer,  יהוה {Jehovah} of hosts, ‘I am the First and I am the Last, besides Me there is no Elohim.

The Bible tells us that before the mountains were brought forth, He who does not think in minutes, hours and days like man, did bring earth and the world, as the everlasting Elohim Who is The True God Creator of everything and not just ruler over parts.

Psa 90:1-5 The Scriptures 1998+  (1)   יהוה {Jehovah}, You have been our refuge In all generations.  (2)  Before the mountains were born, Or You had brought forth the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting You are Ěl.  (3)  You turn man back to dust, And say, “Return, O children of men.”  (4)  For a thousand years in Your eyes Are like yesterday that has past, Or like a watch in the night.  (5)  You have swept them away, They are as a sleep, Like grass that springs up in the morning.

The world has to know that there is therefore no other powerful, equivalent, besides Him, even no other god formed and neither shall there be one god formed after Him.

Isa 43:10-13 The Scriptures 1998+  (10)  “You are My witnesses,” declares  יהוה {Jehovah}, “And My servant whom I have chosen, so that you know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no Ěl formed, nor after Me there is none.  (11)  “I, I am  יהוה {Jehovah}?, and besides Me there is no saviour.  (12)  “I, I have declared and saved, and made known, and there was no foreign mighty one among you. And you are My witnesses,” declares  יהוה {Jehovah}, “that I am Ěl.  (13)  “Even from the day I am He, and no one delivers out of My hand. I work, and who turns it back?”

This God of creation is not one of two, three or more, but only One.

Deu 6:4 The Scriptures 1998+  (4)  “Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה {Jehovah} our Elohim, יהוה {Jehovah} is one! “

Not only God’s chosen people, Israel had to hear and know that This Creator Deity is the Lord and that there is none else; besides Him there is no God Who has the right of Being The One to sit above the cherubim or Cherub angels, being the God ruling over all the kingdoms of the universe.

2Ki 19:15 The Scriptures 1998+  (15)  And Ḥizqiyahu prayed before יהוה {Jehovah}, and said, “O יהוה {Jehovah} Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, the One who dwells between the keruḇim, You are Elohim, You alone, of all the reigns of the earth. You have made the heavens and earth.

 

The God we meet in the Bible itself is the primary cause, through whom everything came into being. He can explain our purpose and sense of creation and life. No wonder that the students of the Babylonian clay tablets had to conclude that there was  an insurmountable gap between the story that they had found and that of the Bible.
