  1. “Şi oricine nu-şi poartă crucea şi nu vine după Mine, nu poate fi ucenicul Meu “( Luca 14, 27)A-ţi lua curcea şi a-L urma pe Domnul Iisus, înseamnă a te dărui cu totul lui Dumnezeu.Când este vorba însă de o astfel de dăruire, mulţi oameni sau înapoi, invocând tot felul de scuze (ex. Luca 14, 17-24). Aceste scuze apar, deoarece omul caută un creştinism după voia lui, în care el să rămână aşa cum este şi să facă ce vrea.A fi creştin înseamnă însă a te lepăda de eul tău, de gândirea ta deşartă la căile lumii şi ale păcatului. “Lepădare” este un cuvânt greu şi dur, fără de care însă nu poate fi nimeni ucenic al domnului Iisus. Celui care se “leapădă” întru totul în mâinile lui Dumnezeu, Dumnezeu îi va dărui tot ce are şi i-a pregătit. Dar noi mai avem încă inima împărţită şi Dumnezeu nu vrea lucrul acesta.Cine este creştin pe jumătate, va cădea sub cruce înainte de a o ridica, va rămâne în urmă, va rătăci pe căi necunoscute, fără nici o ţintă şi într-un târziu va vedea poarta Împărăţiei Veşnice închisă pentru el. În ziua judecăţii celui care a fost creştin doar pe jumătate i se va lua şi ceea ce i se pare că are şi astfel se va trezi gol şi nevrednic a sta înaintea lui Dumnezeu-Judecătorul.Ori cu Dumnezeu, ori cu lumea. Nu putem fi creştini şi totodată să ne complacem cu lumea, cu păcatul.A fi creştin, însă, dăruit întru totul lui Dumnezeu, nu înseamnă a fi lipsit de probleme, de necazuri, de lipsuri sau de batjocuri. Luarea crucii nu înseamnă o viaţă mai uşoară. A fi creştin înseamnă o viaţă de luptă împotriva uneltirilor vrăjmaşului, ispitei, păcatului, căci “fără luptă (…) nu este încununat, dacă nu s-a luptat după rânduieli” (2 Tim. 2, 5).Să luptăm deci după rânduiala Sfintei Scripturi, purtându-ne crucea fără cârtite…să dăm totul pentru Hristos şi să nu uităm niciodată că putem totul în Hristos care ne întăreşte.
